Udayana University Journal and Scientific Publication Unit Holds Training and Mentoring Unud Journal Towards National Accreditation

Kuta - Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Udayana University, Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, officially opened the Unud Journal Training and Mentoring event towards National Accreditation organized by the Scientific Journal and Publication Unit (JUPI) with the theme Socialization of Accreditation Guidelines and Training of Internal Journal Accreditation Assessors. This event will take place on Monday, November 25 2024 at the Golden Tulip Jineng Resort, Kuta.

In his speech, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs conveyed the importance of improving the quality of scientific journals as part of Udayana University's efforts to encourage quality academic and research development. He also emphasized that journal accreditation is a strategic step to ensure that published scientific work meets established national standards.

Udayana University currently manages 167 journals, 97 of which have received National Sinta accreditation with details of Sinta 1-4 totaling 80 journals. There are also 3 globally accredited journals, namely Web of Science, 3 Scopus journals and 38 DOAJ journals.

The chairman of the committee for this activity said that this activity aims to socialize the new Sinta Accreditation guidelines, self-preparation for journals that will be accredited or re-accredited and the formation of internal journal accreditation assessors.

This event presented speakers from the Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo, Dr. Moh. Firyal Akbar, S.IP., M.Si and attended by journal managers from various faculties at Udayana University. It is hoped that after participating in this training, the participants will be able to apply the knowledge gained in improving the quality of the journals they manage so that they can achieve national accreditation.
