Udayana University Holds Grand Launching of Independent Entrepreneurship Program Batch 3
Denpasar - The Grand Launching of Independent Entrepreneurs Batch 3 at Udayana University (Unud) took place in the Meeting Room of dr. AA Made Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine, Unud, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Wednesday (2/10/2024). Udayana University has been selected as one of the 38 Independent Entrepreneurial Implementing Universities (WMK) in 2024 for the third time.
Independent Entrepreneurship is part of the Independent Campus program of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which provides opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves to become potential entrepreneurs through activities outside of lecture classes.
Chief Executive of WMK Unud Dr. Ir. I Ketut Sardiana, M.Si in his report said that today's Grand Launching is part of a series of implementation of the Unud WMK program to mark the official start of the 2024 WMK program activities at Udayana University. The 2024 Unud WMK program was attended by 306 students from 6 universities, namely the Indonesian Art Institute Denpasar, Dwijendra University, Surabaya State University, Panji Sakti Singaraja University, Udayana University, and Warmadewa University. Of this amount, 58 percent came from Internal Unud and 42 percent from external Unud.
This program involves 10 teaching staff, 30 Field Supervisors, 30 mentors from UKM, and 15 Entrepreneurial Coaches from practitioners. The activity lasted for 14 weeks, consisting of three stages, namely the Pre-Immersion stage in the form of learning to develop entrepreneurial mindset and skills, the Immersian stage in the form of onboarding in SMEs to explore SME business processes, compiling business models and business prototypes/products, and the Post Immersion stage for validation products and markets.
Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, S.T, M.T., who was present online in his speech said that the Independent Entrepreneurship Program is one of the flagship programs under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. This program is a forum that is open to all students, both academic and vocational, who have an interest and enthusiasm to become entrepreneurs in the future. Of course, through the implementation of the Independent Entrepreneurship program which will officially start today, we encourage student activity in the process of developing entrepreneurial interest through learning activities that are not only educational, but also oriented towards increasing their ability to face the real challenges of entrepreneurship in the field.
"We realize that the previous learning and mentoring process could not have been optimal without the participation and contribution of DPL and Practitioners. "So we hope that with the start of the 2024 Independent Entrepreneurship program, the enthusiasm of DPL and also practitioners in motivating and encouraging the quality of student learning will continue and be consistent and together students will grow optimally," said the Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. In his speech, I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D, who also represented the Rector for launching WMK Batch 3 at Udayana University, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Culture for the opportunity given to Udayana University as one of the Universities Implementing the Independent Entrepreneurship Program in 2024. This year is the third time that Udayana University has become the Implementing University for the Independent Entrepreneurship Program. The Independent Entrepreneurship Program has become a forum for students at Udayana University and Partner Universities to train and educate potential entrepreneurs.
"Based on the report from the Chief Executive of the Program, it was recorded that the number of students who passed this program was 306 students, with details of 179 students from Udayana University and 127 students from outside Unud. I really appreciate this program and hope that through this program I can provide valuable experience as preparation to become a young entrepreneur in the future," said the Vice Rector.
The Vice Rector also said that all leaders and the entire academic community of Udayana University really support the Independent Entrepreneurship Program which is currently entering its 3rd Generation. This support is not only to implement a high commitment to the Kemdikbudristek program, but also to improve the academic atmosphere in order to encourage the realization of a superior, independent and cultured Udayana University. He hopes that this program can run successfully and provide great benefits for all participants.
