The Rector of Udayana University Inaugurates the Vice Rector for Student Affairs as well as the Dean and Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture

Denpasar - Located in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, an Inauguration and Handover Ceremony for Officials was held at Udayana University (Unud), Thursday (17/10/2024). The Rector of Unud inaugurated Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr. as Vice Rector for Student Affairs, I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Dr. Putu Udayani Wijayanti, S.P., M.Agb. as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning at the Faculty of Agriculture. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chair of the Senate, Vice Rectors, Faculty and Postgraduate Leaders, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Bureaus and other invitees as well as the Dharma Wanita Association of Udayana University.

The inauguration ceremony begins with taking the oath of office for the officials appointed by the Rector of Udayana University, followed by the signing of minutes, inauguration, garlanding of the Vice Rector and Dean's Necklaces, and signing of the minutes of handover of office. The new Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture who is now replaced by I Putu Sudiarta, Ph.D. who previously served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning. Before being inaugurated, the new officials took part in the Mejaya-jaya ceremony procession at Widya Maha Amrta Temple.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D. in his speech said that along with changing times, developments in science and technology continue to roll out, in line with the goal of becoming a World Class University and efforts to achieve the title of Udayana University as a Legal Entity Higher Education Institution, I hereby convey this to the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the Dean and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning at the Faculty of Agriculture needs us to remind you of the duties carried out by each of them, in accordance with the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation Number 30 of 2016 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of Udayana University.

The Rector said that the Vice Rector for Student Affairs had the task of assisting the Rector in leading the implementation of student and alumni affairs. Then the Dean as the head of the faculty, whose task is to organize and manage academic, vocational and/or professional education in one or several science and technology trees/groups. And the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs has the task of assisting the Dean in leading the implementation of education, research and community service as well as activities in the planning field.

From the duties carried out by each Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dean and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning to achieve performance, it is very necessary to realize attitudes and work patterns that support each other and synergize to explore all potential in order to achieve the best achievements. Supporting the development of students to achieve both academic and non-academic achievements so that they can contribute to the younger generation as well as to the development and progress of the nation.

Faculty performance will be achieved if the performance of the Vice Deans is achieved, and so on down to the smallest organizational unit or at the academic position level, namely lecturers/educators and the educational staff position level, namely Functional and Executive Positions.

"We need to convey that what was the success of the previous leadership needs to be maintained and improved and what is lacking must be corrected together so that there is continuity and sustainability in the running of the organization. The success achieved is not just the success of the Dean and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Agriculture but is the success of the entire academic community at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University," said the Rector.

Through this opportunity, the Rector also expressed his deepest gratitude to the leadership of the previous period under the leadership of Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., who has given all his energy and thought so that the Faculty of Agriculture in particular and Udayana University in general, which we all love, have achieved many achievements, increased cooperation with other agencies, and so on. The Rector of Unud ended his remarks by wishing the appointed officials congratulations on their duties and good luck.
