The Dental and Oral Hospital of Udayana University was visited by the Bali Region PERSI Visitation Team

Jimbaran - The Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) of Udayana University (Unud) received a visit from the Bali Region Visitation Team of the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), Friday (6/9/2024). The Bali Region PERSI Visitation Team was received directly by the Rector of Unud at the Meeting Room of the RSGM Unud Jimbaran Building. Also present at the meeting were the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Main Director of RSGM and staff.

Meanwhile, the Visitation Team present was the Chairman of PERSI for the Bali Region, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Anom, MARS, Quality and Accreditation Compartment of PERSI Bali Region dr. Liliek Sulistyaningsih, M.Kes., Fisqua and PERSI Health Financing and Insurance Compartment Bali Region Komang Adhi Restudana, MM.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, MT., PH.D., IPU in his speech said that the RSGM was built in 2021 and was just a building and this year Unud received the PTN Revitalization Program which was allocated to fulfill the infrastructure and health equipment at the RSGM. With this, it is hoped that RSGM can operate immediately and for this reason an operational permit has been submitted. The team is expected to look at the existing conditions and be able to assist so that an operational permit can be issued.

"Hopefully the arrival of the Visitation Team can support the issuance of the operational permit for RSGM Unud. We also hope that RSGM will become a hospital that not only serves the community but can support tourism through medical tourism," said the Rector.

Meanwhile, the Director of RSGM Unud Dr. Drg. Putu Ratna Kusumadewi Giri, Sp.KG in his presentation explained that RSGM Unud is a Special Hospital belonging to Udayana University. Starting with the establishment of the Dentist Education Study Program in 2013 and in 2021 the construction of the RSGM at Udayana University was determined and carried out in three stages of construction until it was established in 2024. The RSGM stands on land covering an area of ​​6,845 square meters with a total building area of ​​4,696 square meters consisting of 4 floors with a capacity of 75 dental units, 12 inpatient beds, Dentist Education services, Emergency Room services, Dental Radiology, General and Specialist Dentist Practice Rooms, Pharmacy Services and Major and Minor Operating Rooms.

RSGM Unud is a Revenue Generating Unit in preparation for Unud to become PTNBH. With its own management system and responsibility directly under the Rector of Unud, RSGM Unud is expected to become a superior, independent and cultured unit. The basic services that will be provided are children's dental care (Pedodontics), dental fillings and nerve care (Conservation), gum and tooth supporting tissue care (Periodontics), tooth extraction and maxillofacial surgery (Oral Surgery), denture care (Prosthodontics), teeth straightening treatment (Orthodontics), oral disease treatment (Oral Medicine), Dental Radiology, Dental Forensics and Public Dental Health.

Chairman of PERSI Bali Region, dr. I Gusti Ngurah Anom, MARS in his direction said that RSGM Unud has a strategic location and can become a superior and educational supporting hospital. Apart from that, his party also supports the development plan into medical tourism where there are only three hospitals. Through this opportunity, his party also provided information regarding the standards that must be completed by a hospital according to existing regulations.
