Closing Night of Udayana University KKN-PPM Period XXIX 2024 Packed with a Collaborative Stage for the Development of Youth Sekaa Gong and Nongan Village Dancers

Sekaa Gong Youth Village, Nongan started in less than a month and had its first performance on Thursday 23 August 2024 at Wantilan Village, Adat Nongan. The appearance of the Sekaa Gong and Dancers was also supported by the presence of 15 2024 Udayana University (Unud) Real Work Lecture (KKN) students, and therefore they also appeared to fill the closing/farewell event for KKN students who had been there from 12 July to 26 August 2024 in the village Nongan.

The 2024 KKN students who received placements in Nongan Village were coordinated by Putu Suluh Pradipta Swangsa, with members namely Fricilia Wijaya, Ni Luh Ayu Sopiani, Putu Bintang Diah Lastini, Made Redy Vianditha, Kadek Cintya, Putri Anggreni, Gusti Ayu Sri Wahyuni, I Gusti Ayu Putri Saraswati, Tri Adhy Suryo Nugroho, Yade Sripartha Wahyuni, Baiq Intan Rizqi Amalia, Fitria Zahra Saskirana, Yuli Wahyu Setia Ningrum, I Madeg Sutantra Dwi Putra, Jevelyn Shelia, with supervisor Ns. Made Oka Ari Kamayani, S.Kep. M. Kep.

At the start of the story, around 40 teenagers from each traditional banjar in Nongan Village, starting 17/8/2024, did drumming practice. This activity was initiated by a multi-talented artist from Nongan Village, I Made Rasta Yoganata, who is often referred to colloquially as Mangku Dalang. Sekaa Gong is chaired by I Wayan Putra Ariasa.

Greetings from the Unud KKN Coordinator, Putu Suluh Pradipta, informed about several activities during the KKN, namely physical, social and health, and expressed his gratitude that all work programs had been running thanks to the collaborative support of various parties. 

Greetings from Unud KKN Advisor, Ns. Ni Made Oka Ari Kamayani, S.Kep, M.Kep. delivered students from various study programs for 5 weeks of Real Work Lectures. According to him, all the main programs have been running, and he appreciates the support so that KKN students can implement their knowledge, and apologizes if there are students' mistakes while carrying out activities in the village.

Welcome speech from Bendesa Adat, represented by the representative of Gusti Made Muliawan, who expressed his thanks to the KKN supervisor and Unud KKN students who had chosen Nongan Village as a place for KKN. Appreciation was also expressed to the teenagers of Sekaa Gong and their coaches. "Hopefully it will continue in the future because our village still needs the presence of KKN students," he said.

The head of Pasraman Adi, Nongan Village, Ngakan Made Aryawan, as an artist, expressed a positive impression of the collaboration between KKN students and teenagers in coaching activities for Sekaa Gong and Dancers. 

The speech of the Head of Nongan Village, represented by the Head of Welfare, Komang Semarayasa, expressed a good message and impression that the KKN closing activities were synchronized with the coaching of Gong and Dancers. Also expressed was appreciation for taking part in physical and non-physical activities, especially in making the cleanliness competition activities held previously a success.

The event was attended by the community, and ended with the delivery of the final report of the KKN students, handing over of mementos to Nongan Village, and certificates to the Head of Pasraman Adi Desa as well as the delivery of messages from the Assistance KK, children's representatives, and representatives of Unud KKN-PPM students Period XXIX Nongan Village. 

To add to the excitement of the farewell event, KKN students were also entertained by native Nongan artists, namely Sengot Bali, and a group band performance with vocalist Made Rasta and friends.
