LAM-PTKes Assessor Team Visits Undergraduate Dentistry and Dentist Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University
Denpasar - The Bachelor of Dentistry and Dentist Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (Unud) was visited by the Assessor Team of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) in the context of a field assessment of study program accreditation, Wednesday (14/8/2024). The assessors present were Prof. Drg. Sondang Pintauli, Ph.D, Prof. Drg. Tetiana Haniastuti, M.Kes., Ph.D and Prof. Dr. Drg. Bahruddin Talib, M.Kes.,Sp.Pros(K).
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Unud Prof. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih in his speech said that accreditation must be carried out to ensure that the Tridharma process is in accordance with existing rules. The arrival of assessors as a form of external quality assurance system complements the internal quality assurance system. Assessors are present to look in more detail at the study program and ensure that the real conditions in the field match those reported in the form.
The study program has made maximum preparations, but of course there will definitely be shortcomings experienced, it is hoped that the assessors can provide input and recommendations for the study program as an effort to continuously improve quality. The study program should provide information according to existing conditions. What is achieved by the study program certainly cannot be separated from the support of all parties and the Dean expressed his appreciation to all the invitees who attended for the support provided.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika in his speech representing the Chancellor of Unud conveyed a glimpse of the profile of Udayana University which is currently transforming from BLU to PTN BH. On this occasion, the Vice Rector also explained that the budget allocation from the Ministry was used to equip educational support laboratories. The process of developing RSGM as a Study Program Lab was also explained.
He also conveyed this as a commitment from the leadership so that the education process runs better according to the quality standards that have been set. In accordance with the leadership's commitment, it is hoped that accreditation will provide good benefits for the study program, obtain input and recommendations for future improvement and development and support the study program to achieve superior status.
Assessor Representative Prof. Bahruddin Talib in his direction said that Unud is one of the best universities in Indonesia, of course it has quite a large contribution through the Faculty of Medicine. It is hoped that the Dentistry Study Program will also make a major contribution to the Faculty of Medicine.
Quality assurance for an institution becomes a culture, how the work carried out is monitored in relation to quality assurance standards. Check what has been written in the form and through this opportunity it is confirmed. We do what is written, what is done is written.
