LPPM Udayana University Together with the PUPR Ministry Holds a Talkshow "Bali Towards Net Zero Emission by Utilizing Environmentally Friendly Energy"
In order to welcome World Habitat Day and World Cities Day 2024 which will be held in October 2024, the Institute for Research and Community Service at Udayana University (LPPM Unud) together with the Directorate of Settlement and Housing Engineering Development, Directorate General of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) ) held a talk show entitled Bali Towards Net Zero Emissions by Utilizing Environmentally Friendly Energy at the Library Hall, Jimbaran Campus, Badung, Tuesday (6/8/2024).
Chairman of LPPM Unud, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, MSi., in his speech representing the Rector, emphasized that Unud supports the clean energy program by collaborating with the business and industrial world, synergizing in developing education, research and community service related to clean energy and renewable energy.
LPPM Unud provides support to research centers and research groups, one of which is the Center for Community-Based Renewable Energy (CORE), in developing collaboration and research on net zero emissions in supporting the Bali Provincial government to achieve the Zero Net Emission target by 2045 He hopes that with this activity, the speakers will be able to critically examine the role of innovation technology and management in the field of processing renewable energy resources, in fulfilling Low Carbon Development (PRK) to participate in tackling global climate change.
This talk show presents speakers from academics, government agencies and practitioners with the aim of being a forum for holding open panel discussions. Professor from the Faculty of Engineering, Unud, Prof. Ir. Ida Ayu Giriantari, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., was one of the speakers at this activity.
Another resource person, Director of Settlement and Housing Engineering Development, Ir. Dian Irawati, MT., delivered material on the Implementation of Green Buildings in Indonesia, Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Unud, Dr. I Made Sudarma delivered material on Low Carbon Development for Bali Province, and the Head of Strategic Planning for Jimbaran Hijau, Yusea Eka Prasetya with moderator Nyoman Satya Kumara, Ph.D who is a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Unud. This talkshow was attended by 100 participants from the Unud academic community, lecturers and students and representatives of lecturers and students from the Bali State Polytechnic, Warmadewa University Denpasar and Ngurah Rai University Denpasar.
