Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara (Rector of Unud for the 2021-2023 Period) Passes Away, the Rector of Unud and the Academic Community Pray Together at the Kertha Semadhi Funeral Home

Denpasar - Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana along with the leadership and the entire academic community visited the Kertha Semadhi Funeral Home, Jl. Ubung Cargo holds the body of the Rector of Unud for the 2021-2023 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU was laid to rest, Friday (9/8/2024) afternoon. The Pelepon - Ngelanus ceremony will be held on Monday 12 August 2024 at the Santha Graha Crematorium, Bedha Tabanan Traditional Village.

On this occasion, the Rector of Unud was received directly by Prof.'s wife. Antara, Mrs. Dayu Bulan Antara and family. The funeral home was filled with academics who came to mourn there.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana on this occasion expressed his deep condolences to the family of the deceased. It was stated that Prof. Antara is a visionary leader of Unud and is our role model, dedicating himself to Udayana University. His dedication to Unud was very great and we mourn the loss of him who was a role model. Prof. Antara is very dedicated to Unud and has done many things that are our legacy at Unud. What was inherited by Prof. Antara is something we are proud of and we should continue. 

Through this opportunity, the Rector of Udayana University released Prof. Antara said a prayer that the deceased would have the best place by His side.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Dayu Bulan Antara on this occasion said that Prof. Antara died on August 8, exactly one day after her birthday. It happened very suddenly and we never thought he would leave us forever. Through this opportunity, his party also apologized on behalf of the deceased.

On this occasion, a joint prayer was also held for Prof. Antara hopefully he will get the best place by His side and the family left behind will be given sincerity and fortitude.
