Registration of Communal Intellectual Property for Wayang Wong Dance by Sidan Traditional Village Development Students, Udayana University

The handover of the Wayang Wong Dance Communal Intellectual Property Registration files has been carried out at the Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Renon on Wednesday 5 June 2024.

The event, which was held in the context of implementing the MBKM Communal Intellectual Property registration work program for Sidan Traditional Village Development, Udayana University, was carried out by all Village Development participants in collaboration with the Independent Internship participants of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and was well received by Yuda Yudistira as the representative of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Bali Regional Office.

The series of Communal Intellectual Property Registration activities included coordination and interviews with the Head of the Sidan Traditional Village Wayang Wong Dance Sekaa. Followed by discussion and collaboration in Sidan Traditional Village Development accompanied by Gusti Ayu Arya Prima Dewi, SH., MH. as Assistant Lecturer with Dr. I Nyoman Anom Fajaraditya Setiawan S.Sn., M.Sn as owner of the Wayang Wong Dance documentary and journal.

The coordination and registration process for the Wayang Wong Dance also involves every element in society, especially the approval and blessing of the Sidan Traditional Village Bender, Kelian Desa Dinas, Belok/Sidan Village Perbekel.

The involvement of regional government agencies, namely the Badung Regency Culture Service and the Badung Regency Regional Research and Innovation Agency, participated in the smooth process of registering the Communal Intellectual Property of the Wayang Wong Dance, with the hope that legal protection for the Wayang Wong Dance which is typical of the Sidan Traditional Village will soon be realized.
