Rector of Udayana University Inaugurates Prof. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, Returns as Dean of the Faculty of Law

Denpasar - Located in the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, an Inauguration ceremony for the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University (Unud), was held, Friday (7/6/2024). This inauguration was attended by leaders within Unud and also Dharma Wanita Persatuan. Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana appointed Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, SH., M.Hum as Dean of the Faculty of Law for the 2024-2028 period.

The Vice Dean I is held by Dr. I Gusti Agung Mas Rwa Jayantiari, SH., M.Kn, Vice Dean II is held by Nyoman Satyayudha Dananjaya, SH., M.Kn., Ph.D and Vice Dean III is held by Dr. I Nyoman Bagiastra, SH., MH. The inauguration of this official began with a jasaya-jaya ceremony at the Maha Widya Amrta Temple, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech expressed his hope to the Dean and the Team to be able to work together collectively and collegiately. So far, the performance of the previous Dean and Vice Deans has been very good, and it is hoped that the next one will be even better. Through this opportunity, the Rector also said that in accordance with Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation Number 30 of 2016 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of Udayana University, the Dean as head of the faculty is assigned to organize and manage academic education in one or several science and technology groups.

The Dean is assisted by Vice Deans who have their respective duties, such as Vice Dean I who will be in charge of the Tridharma of Higher Education plus planning, then Vice Dean II will be in charge of general affairs, finance and household, and Vice Dean III will be in charge of student affairs, alumni and information. Everyone has their respective duties. If we work together, if there is a problem, we can discuss it together to get the best solution.

"Everyone's duties will be achieved in accordance with the Dean's performance contract, so it will be supported by the Vice Deans, supported by the Study Program Coordinators to achieve that performance," said the Rector.

The Rector added that the quality of a leader can be seen from the way he treats other people. For this reason, it is hoped that the Dean will be wiser in dealing with the community so that there are no gaps and can unite all components so that performance can be improved. Through this opportunity, the Rector also expressed his gratitude to previous officials who had given all their energy and thought so that the Faculty of Law in particular and Udayana University in general achieved many achievements. The Rector also congratulated the new officials on their duties.
