Darmasaba Village Development Students, Udayana University Hold Socialization on Communal Intellectual Property (KIK) and Brand Registration
Saturday, (25/05/2024) socialization activities were carried out at the Darmasaba Village Office, Abiansemal District, Badung Regency. This socialization activity carried out by Bina Desa Darmasaba, Udayana University discussed the registration of Communal Intellectual Property (KIK) and Brands. This socialization was attended directly by the Badung Regional Research and Innovation Agency, Darmasaba Village Perbekel, Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham), Bendesa along with paralegal participants and lecturers at the Faculty of Law, Udayana University.
In his speech, Darmasaba Village Headquarters Ida Bagus Surya Prabhawa Manuaba, S.H., M.H. emphasized the importance of registering Communal Intellectual Property and Trademarks in Darmasaba Village so that ancestral traditional culture remains sustainable, recognized and gets legal protection.
This series of socialization events presented two speakers from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Udayana University Faculty of Law research team under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.H., LLM and Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM along with other research teams. In this socialization, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, represented by Putu Edi Wahyudi as General Function for Analysis of Intellectual Property Applications in the Intellectual Property Services Sub-Sector, Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, explained the trademark registration process.
Apart from that, the Udayana University Faculty of Law research team, represented by Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.H., LLM and Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM explained about communal intellectual property, traditional cultural expressions and the importance of registering communal intellectual property.
MBKM Bina Desa Darmasaba students also carried out an inventory using a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) which was divided into two groups, namely in FGD A accompanied by Putu Edi Wahyudi together with MSMEs in Darmasaba Village and in FGD B there was the Ketekok Jago dance maestro accompanied by Prof. . Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H., M.H., LLM and Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM where in the FGD in group B a discussion was held regarding the Ketekok Jago dance which will be registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
