Simultaneous Regional Elections 27 November 2024 KPU Bali Holds Socialization Inviting Several Agencies, Udayana University is One of Them

Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) was also invited to the Socialization of Stages and Individual Nominations in the Election of Governor and Vice Governor, Regent and Vice Regent, as well as Mayor and Vice Mayor in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election held by the Bali Province General Election Commission (KPU) at the Room Bali Denpasar Province KPU Office Meeting, Thursday (2/5/2024). Present from Udayana University on this occasion was the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika represented the Rector of Unud. This activity was also attended by several representatives of universities, PHDI, FKUB, Student Associations or Associations, Youth Organizations and other invitees.

The socialization was opened directly by the Chairman of the Bali Province KPU, I Dewa Gede Agung Lidartawan, who in his speech said that this activity really needs to be carried out, where in the simultaneous national elections, which is the first time in Indonesia, we will elect the Governor and Vice Governor, Regent and Vice Regent, Mayor and Vice Mayor which was held simultaneously nationally on November 27 this year.

Of course, in this regional head election there are two paths, namely the individual path and the political party path. So, through this opportunity, outreach is carried out for individual candidates. He also expressed his gratitude that in yesterday's election there were no complaints to the Constitutional Court so that all elected legislative candidates and the seats held by political parties in Bali could be determined.

The socialization material was delivered by I Gede John Darmawan (Member of the Bali Province KPU, Division of Socialization, Voter Education, Community Participation and Human Resources) who conveyed the report on the 2024 Election which took place in Bali Province and the Stages, Schedule and Conditions for Supporting Individual Candidates. The requirements for individual support for Governor Candidates are a minimum of 277,909 people with a minimum distribution of 5 regencies/cities. The determination of candidate pairs is scheduled for September 22 2024, and voting will be held on November 27 2024.

Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Unud Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika on this occasion said that his party fully supports if the KPU will carry out outreach to the Udayana University academic community, then regarding individual nominations so that more detailed information can be provided which can be passed on to the academic community if anyone is interested, and in the implementation of this Pilkada Unud is also ready to be involved in dissecting the vision and mission of each candidate through official forums according to instructions from the KPU of course.
