Udayana University Business Incubator Holds Training on Strengthening Business Incubator Institutions
Udayana University (Unud) Business Incubator carried out Business Incubator Institutional Strengthening Training activities, HR Quality Development for the Transformation of PTN-BLU into PTN-BH, Udayana University State University Revitalization Program which took place at the Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center, Monday (19/2 /2024). This activity was attended by 17 representative lecturers from each faculty at Udayana University.
The event began with a report from the chairman of the committee, in this case the Chairman of the Udayana University Business Incubator, Dr. drh. Urges Nyoman Dewi Indira Laksmi, M. Biomed. In the report, it was stated that this activity will be carried out over 3 days, namely Monday-Wednesday, 19-21 February 2024, where this activity will discuss a lot about the role of business incubators in supporting PTN-BH through the importance of downstreaming and commercializing research results in higher education. Apart from that, this training will also discuss the importance of collaboration between business incubators as institutions that foster budding entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship units in each faculty.
The activity was opened by the Rector of Udayana University, who in this case was represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D. who in his speech said that Udayana University will be transformed from PTN-BLU into a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) which needs to be supported by efforts to improve the quality of learning, research, community empowerment, and the quality of partnership programs with the world business and industrial world (DUDI) as well as other external institutions.
Alternatives that can be taken to be able to provide educational costs independently are commercialization, namely patent licensing and forming a body capable of managing professional and business capabilities called a college Business Incubator. On this occasion, the Vice Rector also expressed his hope that the lecturers who had represented each faculty could take part in this training activity until completion and that this activity could run smoothly. Our shared goals and hopes could be achieved optimally.
This opening event was also attended by Prof. Ir. Nyoman Semadi Antara, MP., Ph.D as Head of the PTN-BH Team at Udayana University and Dr. Sayu Ketut Sutrisna Dewi, SE, MM, Ak. as Coordinator of the Human Resources Development Program at Udayana University.
After the event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the activity continued with a presentation session on Udayana University's Development Plan towards PTNBH by Prof. Ir. Nyoman Semadi Antara, MP., Ph.D as Head of the Udayana University PTN-BH Team. After that the event continued with the presentation of material on the Role of Business Incubators in supporting PTN-BH on the first day as well as Business Incubator Fundamentals and Research Downstream on the second day from resource persons namely Catur Sugiarto, S.E., M.SM., M. Rech., Ph.D., CDMP as Chair of the Indonesian Business Incubator Association (AIBI).
On the second and third days of the activity, resource person Ferie Budiansyah as Manager of the Directorate of Innovation and Science Techno Park, University of Indonesia, presented material on the Establishment and Governance of E-Hubs in each faculty as well as Strengthening Partnerships & Business Networks.
