The Rector of Udayana University is Committed to Supporting the Democratic Process and Respecting the Choices of the Academic Community in the 2024 Election

Bukit Jimbaran, 3 February 2024 - Observing the political dynamics ahead of the 2024 election, Rector of Udayana University Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU emphasized the importance of participation by the Udayana University Academic Community in the democratic process, and appealed to all campus residents to use their voting rights wisely for the sake of the Republic of Indonesia in the future.

Udayana University is committed to supporting the democratic process and encouraging the creation of an inclusive and democratic campus environment. The Rector also gave an appeal to carry out elections peacefully, foster tolerance and respect differences in views in order to create a conducive democratic party atmosphere on campus.

The 2024 General Election is the pinnacle of democracy involving every element of society, including the Udayana University Academic Community. Our vote is the power to shape the future. The entire community, especially campus residents, should participate with full awareness and use their voting rights wisely.

The Rector of Udayana University also emphasized that through elections, we maintain the democratic principles that underlie national life. Udayana University fully supports this democratic process as a form of commitment to the formation of the next generation with integrity and dedication to national values.

Udayana University also respects political dynamics as part of democracy, where people have constitutional rights to determine their own attitudes and choices. Likewise, academics are part of civil society who have a role in participating in maintaining democracy, so we must respect their opinions and voices.
