First and Meaningful, the Excitement of Cultural Activity Winter Camp 2024, Udayana University International Affairs Office

In order to get to know Balinese culture more closely, the International Affairs Office (KUI) of Udayana University (Unud) is implementing the 2024 KUI Winter Camp, with one of the agendas being teaching various cultural activities to the participants. The 2024 Winter Camp was attended by 53 participants consisting of 50 students and 3 lecturers taking part in cultural activities.

In this activity the participants were taught basic Balinese dance techniques, how to write Balinese script and make ceremonial tools, namely gebogan fruit, flowers and canang sari. The participants' enthusiasm was clearly visible in various activities because for them, this was something new and unique and participants could be directly involved in the process, and were accompanied by an interactive team of teachers and assistants, so that participants really enjoyed every activity they did.

Senja Pratiwi, Ph.D as the KUI Unud Coordinator really appreciates the KUI Team, teachers and all parties involved in implementing this cultural activity and hopes that it can become an indirect promotional media that will be conveyed by the participants to other colleagues when they return. to their respective countries.

One of the participants from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, "I also gained experience in learning and practicing Balinese dances, flower arranging, and cooking traditional Balinese dishes. Apart from studying, I also visited beautiful places in Bali, enjoying the natural scenery, architectural heritage and religious buildings. I really appreciate the teachers with learning materials provided," he said.

XU Liu also expressed his thanks to the KUI Team and Liaison Officer (LO) who were very friendly and very helpful to the participants. "Participating in the 2024 KUI Winter Camp was truly a very meaningful first experience for me," he said.
