Udayana University Holds Teaching Practitioner Program Socialization 4
Denpasar - Udayana University (Unud) held a Socialization activity for the Teaching Practitioner Program 4 at the Nusantara Room, Agrokompleks Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Thursday (25/1/2024). The activity, which was opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Unud, presented two speakers, namely the Head of the MBKM Unit at Unud, Dr. I Ketut Sardiana and Coordinator of the Teaching Practitioner Program 4 Unud Putu Ratih Kumala Dewi, SH., M.Hub.Int. The material presented was regarding the Teaching Practitioner Program and the Technical Guidance Handbook for Implementing Collaboration between Universities and Lecturers.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. In his speech, I Ketut Sudarsana said that Teaching Practitioners is a flagship program from the Ministry, where this program is to improve our KPI achievements, namely IKU 4, one of which is teaching practitioners. He hopes that in each study program in one semester there will be at least two practitioners teaching. This program is very important and we hope that with the experiences that practitioners have who teach, more students will get an idea of what conditions will be like in the field and not just become nerds. This is the independent learning program that has been designed by the Ministry, one of which is that we are asked to open ourselves to the industrial world. Likewise, lecturers are given the opportunity to become practitioners in industry. The aim is to accelerate the link and match between the world of education and the world of industry.
"This is a very good program, so we teach children not only text books but later how to apply the theories in lectures," said the Vice Rector.
Last year we only had 25 practitioners teaching and that was only a small number of the many opportunities provided. But you also have to choose practitioners who are appropriate to the field of science or lecture you will be partnering with. Practitioners who attend have been funded by the Ministry and they will also discuss the obstacles they face regarding practitioner requirements. However, the most important thing is that lecturers can open themselves up, open courses to partner with practitioners who already have good experience in the field.
The Vice Rector hopes that through the material presented by the speakers, this year the study program can convey the things that must be fulfilled to the lecturers in order to bring in practitioners in this teaching practitioner program.
