Expanding Collaboration in the Field of Traditional Medicine, Udayana University Collaborates with HMECC-CAEDA and Tianjin University
Udayana University (Unud) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese of Health and Medical Exchange Cooperation Committee of China-Asia Economics Development Association (HMECC-CAEDA) and The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Thursday (21/12/2022) located in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Udayana University Hospital Building. The MoU signing event was also coupled with a seminar on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Training and Research.
Present at this activity was the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, Main Director of Udayana University Hospital Prof. Purwa Samatra, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ady Wirawan, Director of Human Resources and Academics at Unud Hospital, Director of Medical and Nursing Services at Unud Hospital, Director of the Tourism Confucius Institute, KUI Unud Coordinator, as well as doctors and residents at Udayana University Hospital.
From the Tianjin side were present the Chairman of Health and Medical Exchange Cooperation Committee of China-Asia Economic Development Association, President of First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Vice President of First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as Vice President of First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech said that this activity was one of Udayana University's efforts to promote traditional Chinese medicine in Bali and increase public awareness of traditional healing methods. Udayana University feels proud to be able to collaborate with these two well-known institutions from Tianjin and hopes that this collaboration will become a bridge that strengthens friendship between Indonesia and China and will increase opportunities for collaboration that will benefit all parties in the future.
Meanwhile, the President of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University, Mr. Wang Jingui, and the Chairman of the Chinese and Medical Exchange Cooperation Committee of China-Asia Economics Development Association, Mr. Guanglin also had the opportunity to give a speech. Both of them welcomed and appreciated the existing collaboration and hoped that the existing collaboration could provide mutual benefits, considering that Udayana University has many experts, especially in the health sector.
A seminar on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Training and Research was delivered by the President of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University, Mr. Wang Jingui. The seminar began with a video screening about traditional medicine carried out by The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, followed by presentations and discussions with doctors and residents at Udayana University Hospital.
