Evaluator Team Makes a Visit to Udayana University, Regarding the Proposed Change to Become a State University-Legal Entity

The Evaluator Team led by Plt. The Secretary of the Directorate General of Diktiristek visited the proposed change of Udayana University (Unud) to become a State University-Legal Entity (PTN-BH). The visitation activity took place in the Bangsa Room, Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, which was attended by the Evaluator Team, Rector and Vice Rectors, Chair and Secretary of the Senate, Chair of SPI, Head of Bureau, Chair of Institutions, Heads of Faculty and Postgraduate Studies, Heads of Related Work Units and the PTN-BH Team Unud, Tuesday (19/12/2023). This visitation was also attended online by the Institutional Director and several Evaluator Teams.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana in his speech expressed his welcome to the Evaluator Team, where the Evaluator Team's arrival was to clarify the proposals that had been proposed to the Ministry including Self Evaluation, RPJP, Transition Plan and RPP. The Rector hopes that this activity will run smoothly and Udayana University will become PTNBH in 2024. Through this opportunity the Rector also expressed his commitment regarding Unud towards PTNBH, where PTNBH will have more freedom in managing its assets and also for internationalization.

Institutional Director Dr. Lukman in his speech provided motivation for Unud to immediately become a PTN-BH. Furthermore, his party said that in the last two years, Unud had been overseeing it and now it was the final tip of the process and Unud had worked hard to prepare it as seen from PTN-BH Analytical. Based on existing data, Unud's score is 362, where the minimum score is 300, so this is in accordance with the assessment mechanism. From the existing components, Unud can still improve them, especially in implementing quality Tridharma, where nationally currently Unud is in a superior position and must be developed internationally. The Institutional Director hopes that the existing study programs at Unud will be accelerated towards internationally accredited study programs.

Meanwhile Plt. Secretary of the Directorate General of Diktiristek Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie in his direction congratulated Unud on the PTN-BH proposal which had entered the visitation stage. The presence of all leaders in this visitation shows quite good commitment regarding the transformation into PTN-BH. Becoming a PTN-BH will later become the starting point of Unud's steps to develop and transform into the identity of PTN-BH, it is a challenge that is not easy but not something that cannot be done because when it comes to the quality of PTN-BH higher education it cannot be avoided. Commitment and goals to create a quality and performing Unud can be carried out through PTN-BH.

During this visitation, the Evaluator Team also visited several business units owned by Udayana University on the Jimbaran Campus, namely Udayana Eco Lodge, Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) and Closed House, Faculty of Animal Husbandry.
