Udayana University Receives Visit from Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e, Discusses Progress of Scholarship Program Studies

Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information received a visit from the Rector of the Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) and staff at the International Affairs Office, Sudirman Campus, Monday (27/11/2023).

On this occasion, the Rector of Unud hopes that the cooperation that has been established so far between Unud and UNTL can be improved and more massive, not only with UNTL but also with government institutions in Timor Leste. "Not only sending students to Udayana University, but also related to research collaboration that can be improved, professor and student exchange, as well as community service, so we are ready to implement this together with UNTL," said the Rector of Unud.

Meanwhile, Rector of UNTL Prof. Dr. Joao Soares Martins said that last year the collaboration between Unud and UNTL had been renewed. The Rector appreciated Udayana University for contributing to developing Timor Leste's human resources. Udayana University, through its alumni, has contributed and played a central role in the development of Timor Leste.

Currently several lecturers from UNTL are continuing their Doctoral program education in various faculties at Udayana University, for this reason the Rector of UNTL expressed his thanks to Udayana University for accepting students from UNTL to continue their education, both Masters and Doctoral, and hopes for support from students from UNTL in completing his education at Udayana University. UNTL also welcomed the Rector of Unud's offer to open up opportunities related to research collaboration and community service with Udayana University in the future.
