Denpasar - The Assessor Team from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) carried out a field assessment in the context of accreditation of the Radiology Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud). The opening of the assessment took place in the Dr. Meeting Room. AA Made Djelantik FK Unud Sudirman Campus Denpasar, Monday (16/10/2023). The assessors present were Dr. Dr. Hermina Sukmaningtyas, M.Kes, Sp.Rad (K) and dr. Lies Mardiyana, Sp. Rad (K).

Dean of FK Unud Prof. Dr. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes in his speech said that the Radiology Study Program is one of 20 specialist study programs that is owned and in terms of age it is still relatively young. During the seven years since the study program was founded, there have certainly been quite a lot of efforts made by the study program management and all the teaching staff to make this study program develop better day by day. Over the next three days, field assessments will take place as part of the study program accreditation process. Apart from being a mandate from the law, accreditation itself is also an effort to ensure that all processes that take place in the study program are carried out in accordance with the standards or rules that have been set.

"This is very important to ensure that our graduates have the competencies we expect in accordance with the graduate profile that has been determined," said the Dean of FK.

The arrival of the Assessor Team will ensure that the portrait that has been sent through the documents that have been sent to LAM-PTKes really matches our portrait. The Assessor Team is expected to be able to provide input regarding things that can still be improved and things that need to be improved so that it can provide provisions for making improvement efforts. The Dean hopes that the study program can achieve maximum results.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja, MP., IPU representing the Rector in his speech hoped that the Assessor Team could provide input and direction, where many things could be developed in the Radiology Specialist Study Program, FK Unud. "Of course, in the future, input and hopes as a follow-up to the assessment process by these assessors for improvement of the Study Program are highly expected," said Prof. Rai.

Through this opportunity, the Vice Rector also introduced briefly the profile of Udayana University, which is 61 years old and has superior accreditation status, as well as the institutional management of BLU which is currently transforming into PTN BH. The Vice Rector hopes that the Radiology Specialist Study Program can increase the percentage of superior study programs at Unud.

Assessor Representative Dr. Dr. Hermina Sukmaningtyas, M.Kes, Sp.Rad (K) on this occasion expressed the hope that the assessment process for accreditation could run well. We are all committed to guaranteeing graduates produced by universities, especially from the Radiology Study Program, so this quality assurance has become something routine and has been implemented starting from the planning, evaluation or PPEPP process at the university to the study program. With the issuance of Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023, there will be a transformation of national standards and higher education accreditation. With the hope that universities will have more freedom to make adjustments and this requires joint hard work. The Assessor Team hopes that the faculty can provide support in providing the documents needed later in the field assessment process.
