Committed to Advancing Education, Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Udayana University Hands Over Scholarship Assistance to Sons and Daughters of Employees

In order to welcome the 61st Anniversary of Udayana University, Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Udayana University (Unud) held a handover of scholarship assistance to the sons and daughters of employees at Udayana University, located in Ruang Bangsa, Rectorate of Bukit Jimbaran Campus (Friday, 08/09 /2023).

The event was opened by the Chairperson of the Unud DWP, Mrs. Ida Ayu Bulan Antara, in her speech she explained that this scholarship was a DWP Unud work program which was held every year, namely at the beginning of September before the peak commemoration of Udayana University's anniversary.

Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) is the largest women's organization in Indonesia which operates in three fields, namely education, economics and socio-cultural fields.

This year DWP Unud provided scholarships to 17 students who were sons and daughters of employees from all faculties at Udayana University, then added to sons and daughters who served at the Head Office. The majority of scholarship recipients are still receiving basic education and people are studying at junior high school.

This scholarship is specifically for employees who work as drivers, cleaning services, gardeners and security. The form of assistance provided for this scholarship is in the form of cash funds plus stationery.

The Chairperson of the Unud DWP hopes that the assistance provided can ease the burden on parents, especially at the start of this school year. He also hopes that scholarship recipient children who have received education at high school level can continue to a higher level, especially continuing to Udayana University by choosing the study program they are interested in.
