Udayana University Extends Cooperation with PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1
Udayana University (Unud) again extended the partnership with PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1 which was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by both parties at the Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Wednesday (09/08/2023). The signing of the MoU was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Udayana University, Deputy Business PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1 and its staff, as well as the Cooperation and Public Relations Coordinator of Udayana University and its staff.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Unud Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika on this occasion said that Udayana University is certainly proud to receive this collaboration again for the second time which means that the collaboration that has been carried out previously has gone well in various fields and is now being developed again with the spirit of Freedom to Learn on an Independent Campus.
Of course, it is hoped that with this collaboration, Udayana University through the Higher Education Tri Dharma activities and student activities will benefit as well as PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1 benefits from what Udayana University can contribute. "So that this collaboration can be mutually beneficial for both parties," said the Vice Rector.
Meanwhile Deputy Business PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1 Agus Setiawan hopes that this year and in the future more collaborations can be initiated, including how Pegadaian's programs can help students prepare them to become entrepreneurs. Udayana University has a Business Incubator that allows for a lot of collaboration on preparing Unud students to be ready to enter the world of work including those that can also be absorbed in SOEs such as Pawnshops.
Furthermore, the Deputy Business of PT. Pegadaian Area Denpasar 1 said that so far what has been done routinely in previous collaborations is accepting internships from Udayana University, especially from the Faculty of Economics and Business, and also supporting student activities in the form of sponsorship which also aims to prepare students to be able to handle events and have good network.
