Rector of Udayana University Opens the XXI National Conference and PTBMMKI XXVII National Jamboree

Denpasar - Rector of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara opened the XXI National Conference (Munas) and PTBMMKI XXVII National Jamboree at the Ballroom of the Mahajaya Hotel Denpasar, Thursday (27/7/2023). PTBMMKI (Association of Indonesian Medical Student Medical Assistance Teams) is the national parent organization of the Medical Faculty (FK) Medical Assistance Team (TBM) throughout Indonesia. TBM Janar Duta FK Unud is one of the oldest TBMs in Indonesia. The Medical Assistance Team itself is an organization engaged in the field of medical emergencies and naturalism.

National meetings and national jamboree are held every year and this year the host was TBM Janar Dūta from FK Udayana University in Bali, last year at FK Univ Muhammadiyah Semarang.

The National Conference which was held was the same as the National Conference in general, reading the LPJ, discussing AD ART, and electing a new PTBMMKI chairman. Meanwhile for the national jamboree (jamnas) later it will carry out disaster management practices in collaboration with BPBD, and sea water evacuation practices in collaboration with Basarnas on the German coast.

The number of participants in this activity was 111 people from 52 TBMs from 52 University Medical Faculties throughout Indonesia.

Committee Chairman Erick Gonata said that this year the host of PTBMMKI's national meeting and national jamboree was in Bali, namely FK Unud and it was a great pride for TBM Janar Duta to host one of PTBMMKI's biggest events. After two years of carrying out this activity online and last year in a hybrid manner, this year we ventured to hold it fully offline. The theme of this activity is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: The Entire Earth Is Nothing but One Family" in which there is a great hope that wherever we come from we can establish kinship ties because none other than we are one family.

Vice Dean III FK Unud Prof. In his speech, I Made Adi Wirawan conveyed his welcome to Bali to delegates from 52 TBM units in Indonesia. The Vice Dean hopes that the National Conference will run smoothly and asks participants to learn diplomacy in the discussions that will be carried out during the deliberations.

While the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara expressed his gratitude to PTBMMKI for trusting the Faculty of Medicine of Udayana University to carry out the National Conference and Jamboree in Bali. Through this opportunity the Rector also introduced a glimpse of Udayana University. The Rector hopes that the National Conference and Jamnas will run smoothly and the best will be chosen to bring the organization forward according to the wishes of the members. The Rector also offered that the next National Conference and Jamboree could be held again in Bali.
