Adjusting the Curriculum, Master of Animal Husbandry Study Program Holds Curriculum Development Workshop
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Unud) through the Master of Animal Science Study Program held a Curriculum Development Workshop with the theme Development of the Master of Animal Science Curriculum Towards International which took place in the Postgraduate Hall of the Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Thursday (27/7/23). This workshop was opened by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng, IPU.
Chairman of the Committee Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Gde Sumardani, S.Pt., M.Si, in her report said that this Curriculum Workshop was a continuation of the Master of Animal Science Curriculum Evaluation activities of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University which was held in February 2023. This workshop aims to perfect the curriculum and adjust curriculum with the development of science and technology and the needs of stakeholders. Given the specificity of the Master of Animal Science Study Program is to produce innovative and prospective work for institutions, the livestock industry, and employment, based on local wisdom or more specifically the development of livestock and the environment.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, M.S., IPU said that the Faculty of Animal Husbandry will not remain silent with a superior position in the study program, for this reason it will move towards improving quality and curriculum and quality that leads to internationalization. All courses must be adjusted, RPS will be improved, standards that lead to international will be improved through this workshop. The hope is that it will result in management of study programs that lead to internationalization, so that later they will have networking with universities at the same level abroad.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Unud, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng, IPU said, the capital of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry is the accreditation of Superior S1-S3, then it will be encouraged to take part in international accreditation. Therefore, the curriculum is a very important program, especially the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, especially the Masters Study Program, which is going towards ASIIN accreditation, so revising the curriculum is important. The hope is of course that the Faculty of Animal Husbandry will immediately transform into a modern faculty, so that it can support internationalization.
