Increase the Effectiveness of Internal Quality Audit, LP3M of Udayana University Implement Risk-Based AMI Instrument Preparation Activities
Denpasar - The Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of Udayana University (Unud) held an activity for compiling a Risk-Based Internal Quality Audit (AMI) instrument which took place in the Hall of the Postgraduate Building, Campus Sudirman Denpasar, Friday (21/7/2023). This activity presented speakers Prof. Dr. drh. Nyoman Sadra Dharmawan, MS and the USDI Udayana University Team.
Secretary of LP3M Prof. I Made Alit Employee Salain representing the Chairman of LP3M in his report said that this internal quality audit occupies a strategic position in the implementation of the internal quality assurance system because it is part of the evaluation component of the PPEPP cycle; standard setting, standard implementation, evaluation of standard implementation, control of standard implementation and standard setting. So from this audit we will get information later whether the activities carried out are in accordance with the standards set. Currently what is popularly carried out and is a demand in the accreditation process is a risk-based audit. Through this risk-based audit, the risks that may occur in the administration of the organization, in this case the study program, have been anticipated in advance so that we can minimize these risks and management can produce appropriate goals and objectives. However, we do not yet have the instrument, therefore LP3M deems it necessary to organize the preparation of this risk-based quality audit instrument so that later the existing risks will be anticipated by management.
"Currently the Team has prepared a draft based on the risk of fulfilling the KPI, then the risk of achieving an accreditation rating and possibly other matters related to accreditation. Now the Team has compiled a KPI based on the Ministry's set, then the risk of PEPA occurring means the risk of decreasing accreditation through the process of evaluating and monitoring accreditation ratings," said Prof. Alit.
The instruments discussed in this activity will be refined later with external speakers from UGM to further refine them before later socializing them to auditors throughout Udayana University.
While the Rector of Unud, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara in his remarks said that the internationalization program at Unud is very dependent on our internal quality assurance system and also has a major influence on the external quality assurance system. So this internal quality assurance system is important for the program's international achievements. Then, of course, we can optimize this internal quality assurance system if we have the AMI and most recently, of course, the preparation of a risk-based AMI is important to get a good and optimal internal quality assurance system where these things are interrelated. It is hoped that LP3M's idea to start preparing this risk-based AMI will make a good contribution to the development of our internal quality assurance system so that in the end the external quality assurance system can be achieved properly.
"We at the Rectorate will of course always support whatever friends from LP3M need, we will be responsible for it both financially and in terms of the required infrastructure," said the Rector of Unud.
The Rector hopes that this activity will be useful so that our internal quality assurance system, especially Quality Assurance at Udayana University, can run according to our expectations which will have a tremendous impact on institutional development, especially at the international level.
