Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University Holds 39th of BK FMIPA

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Udayana University (Unud) held the 39th Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (BK FMIPA) event at the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Jimbaran Campus, Saturday (01/07/2023). The theme of the 39th BK FMIPA is New Spirit Towards a Jaya and Excellence FMIPA.

I Wayan Sumarjaya, S.Sc., M.Stats The Head of the Committee in his remarks said that the commemoration of BK FMIPA this time was a historical milestone for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences because July 1 was determined to be BK FMIPA day which was based on the decision of the FMIPA Senate Meeting which was held on March 17, 2023. This is certainly different from previous years' BK FMIPA celebrations which are usually held in October.

In accordance with the BK FMIPA theme, where the word New Spirit reflects the growth of a new spirit which will further strengthen the role of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unud as a science and technology development institution in facing challenges, thus making the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unud even more glorious and superior. This time the BK FMIPA activity was carried out with several series of events including leisure walks, blood donations, innovation exhibitions and entertainment events.

Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Prof. Ni Luh Watiniasih in her remarks said that this year's BK FMIPA was held differently, namely the day and date from previous years, where this was intended to commemorate the anniversary to coincide with the Chancellor's Decree regarding the formation of the FMIPA Study Program which was established for the first time, namely the Physics Study Program and the Study Program In Chemistry, the Decree was dated July 1, 1984. In the previous year, BK FMIPA was commemorated every October 22, which date was based on the formation of the MIPA Faculty on October 22, 1993.

There are several targets planned for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the future including the achievement of IKU which is a must in providing support to universities, developing and completing the transfer of study programs to the new dean's building, arrangement of entrances, improvement and arrangement of courtyards, and planning for the construction of laboratories.

Meanwhile the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja who on this occasion represented the Rector of Udayana University said that the theme of BK FMIPA this time was very interesting, namely New Spirit Towards FMIPA Jaya and Excellence, where the theme corresponds to on the track in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences so far both from the excellent performance of the lecturers and students who have won many competitions which of course need to be continuously improved. "Once again congratulations to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences on its 39th birthday," said the Vice Rector.
