Implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Village Development Students, Faculty of Law, Udayana University Held Paralegal Training in Paksebali Village

Udayana University Faculty of Law (FH Unud) students who are running the MBKM Bina Desa program in Paksebali Village, Klungkung held the Opening of the Paksebali Village Paralegal Training on Friday, June 9 2023 at the Paksebali Village Office, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency.

This Paksebali Village Paralegal Training is the second work program of the MBKM Bina Desa Paksebali Program, Faculty of Law, Udayana University in 2023 with the theme "Training Paralegals as Front Guards in Realizing the Principle of Equality Before the Law for Village Communities". This training is a form of collaboration between Paksebali Village Development Students, Faculty of Law, Udayana University, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bali Province and the Cakra Eka Sudarsana Legal Aid Foundation (CES).

The right to obtain legal assistance is a fundamental right for someone who is dealing with or experiencing legal problems. Because getting legal aid is a form of access to justice for those who are dealing with legal problems. Obtaining legal aid is also one of the embodiments of the principle of equality before the law or the principle of equality before the law. In order to realize the principle of equality before the law, the presence of paralegals is very important, especially in the village environment. Paralegals have an important role to help advocate for a problem that exists in society.

The implementation of this training was also attended by the Government of Klungkung Regency, which in this case was represented by Drs. Ida Bagus Ketut Mas Ananda as Assistant for Governance and People's Welfare, Eke Andriyan Prawira, S.H., M.H. as Legal Analyst at the Regional Secretariat of Klungkung Regency, Representative from the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights for the Province of Bali, Chairman of the Cakra Eka Sudarsana Legal Aid Foundation (CES) and his staff, Paksebali Village Officials, Made Gde Subha Karma Resen, S.H., M.Kn. as Associate Lecturer for Paksebali Village Development Faculty of Law, Udayana University, Cokorda Dalem Dahana, S.H., M.Kn. as Chair of the Proficiency Unit of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, Udayana University Monitoring and Evaluation Team, as well as 20 participants who were also part of Paksebali Village officials, Village Heads, and the general public.
