Udayana University Wins Higher Education Award for the Best ADik Scholarship Manager Category from the Ministry of Education and Culture
Yogyakarta - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) held the peak commemoration of the 2023 Freedom Learning Month in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on 28 to 29 May 2023. There were three series of activities carried out namely the Freedom Learning Carnival at Zero Point Yogyakarta, (28/ 5), Presentation of the Freedom of Learning Award took place at the Trimurti Building, Prambanan, (29/5) and the Peak Ceremony of the Commemoration of the Freedom of Learning Month took place at the Ramayana Stage, Prambanan, (2/9) evening.
In the last three years, the Ministry of Education and Culture has launched 24 episodes of Merdeka Learning which focus on transforming the Indonesian education system, especially on the aspects of learning, funding and management. The effort to transform the education system is President Joko Widodo's directive to create superior Indonesian human resources. Remembering the journey and achievements of the Free Learning movement, on the commemoration of this year's National Education Day, the Ministry of Education and Culture has designated May 2023 as the Free Learning Month with the theme "Moving Together Enlivening Free Learning". The Freedom to Learn Month is enlivened with various activities, one of which is the peak of the commemoration of National Education Day which will be held on May 28-29 in Yogyakarta with the agenda of the Merdeka Learn Carnival activities, and the awarding of awards.
In the Free Learning Award ceremony, Udayana University (Unud) won the Higher Education Award for the Best ADik Scholarship Manager category which on this occasion was handed over by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture and received directly by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs Unud Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana. The Higher Education Award is a tribute to higher education managers for collaboration, innovation, potential that continues to grow, and support for Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus.
There were 57 awards given by the Ministry of Education and Culture to universities. This award is given to campuses with the best achievements in the implementation of Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) both academically and vocationally, the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) Lecture program, Affirmation of Higher Education (ADIK), and the Task Force for Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS).
