Udayana University Opens Collaboration Opportunities with the Ministry of Defense of Timor Leste
Udayana University (Unud) initiated cooperation with the Timor Leste Ministry of Defense through the signing of an MoU which was signed by the Rector of Udayana University who on this occasion was represented by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Unud Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes, with the Ministry of Defense of Timor Leste which was signed by Inspector General Josefa dos Reis Goncalve,s at the National Room, 3rd floor of the Rectorate Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, Tuesday (23/05/23).
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information of Unud Prof. Dr. dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika on this occasion said that in general this collaboration is still within the framework of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, and specifically relates to the improvement and contribution of human resources in Timor Leste which in the future is expected to be carried out with the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Marine Fisheries Unud with the principle of mutually beneficial cooperation for both parties in the future.
In this case, Inspector General Josefa dos Reis Goncalves, the Ministry of Defense of Timor Leste conveys the mandate from the Minister of Defense that through the signing of this MoU will realize the expectations of the Ministry of Defense to increase the capacity of human resources in the Ministry through cooperation in the academic field which includes the fields of medicine, engineering, and marine.
In addition, it is also hoped that this collaboration will be followed up properly in the future. As is well known, the role of Udayana University has made a significant contribution to Timor Leste. This can be seen from the various collaborations that have been established between Udayana University and various Ministries and Institutions in Timor Leste.
