Rector of Udayana University Attends the Seminar on the Future of Bali's Development Direction "100 Years of the New Era of Bali"

Chancellor of Udayana University (Unud) Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara attended the 100 Years Bali New Era Future Direction Seminar on Bali Development 2025-2125 which was held by the Provincial Government of Bali at The Trans Resort Bali Hotel, Friday (5/5/2023). The seminar was officially opened by the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof.Dr.(H.C) Hj. Megawati Sukarnoputri.

The seminar was attended by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster and the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati, Head of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko, Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi , academics, practitioners, community leaders, Chancellors, historians, anthropologists, sociologists, psychologists, economists, agricultural experts, and various other experts.

The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, in her directive asked that the direction of development for 100 years in Bali continue to prioritize the availability of fertile land. Megawati does not want Bali to only focus on infrastructure development or hotels. Megawati also asked the Governor of Bali to pay attention to environmental and soil sustainability.

The Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, in his presentation said that as the leader of Bali, his party has a great responsibility Niskala and Sekala which manifests itself in the obligation to act to develop the concept of future Bali as the direction of Bali's development with clear, measurable directions and strategies with long-term dimensions of up to 100 years. forward for the sake of the sanctity and harmony of nature, people and Balinese culture for the glory of Balinese generations throughout the ages. This future Balinese concept is ideological; cultural, religious and nationalist.
