Udayana University BEM Assisted Village Opening 2023 "Real Collaboration Brings Change from Villages for Indonesia"
Bangli – Saturday (29/04/2023), the Student Executive Board of Udayana University "Udayana Bangkit" Cabinet through the Village Empowerment Department held the Opening of 2023 Udayana University BEM Assisted Villages with the theme "Real Collaboration Brings Change from Villages for Indonesia". The opening of the Udayana University BEM assisted village marked the beginning of the Udayana University BEM service movement to the community, I Kadek Dwi Mahendra as the Head of the Department of the Department of Village Empowerment conveyed that the purpose of holding the Opening of the 2023 Udayana University BEM Assisted Village was to inaugurate and introduce the village that will be made the assisted village BEM of Udayana University to the field of community service BEM or the 13th Faculty Student Senate at Udayana University which hopes that a collaboration will later be created to empower and develop all existing potential and provide solutions to problems that occur in Abuan Village.
This year the BEM of Udayana University chose Abuan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency as the Assisted Village of BEM Udayana University 2023. This event also invited village officials, children of Abuan State Elementary School, village community, lecturer representatives, and representatives of student organizations from 13 faculties Udayana University.
Vice Chairperson of BEM Udayana University, Raihan Faisal Muzhaffar in his remarks said that the Opening of the Assisted Village 2023 located in Abuan Village, Kintamani, is a momentum for the Student Executive Board of Udayana University to be able to realize servanthood of community service. There are many sectors that can be developed in Abuan Village, it is hoped that it will attract the enthusiasm of students to return to the village so that today's graduates will not only focus on urban life. At the same time, this activity is hoped to be able to help make changes to the village, even at the smallest strata.
Dr. Dewa Gede Wiryangga Selangga, S. P., M. Si as the Head of the Ormawa Development Unit representing the Udayana University rector also attended this event. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude to the village administration who had accepted his students for activities in Abuan Village and asked for assistance from the village head to guide students in carrying out community service activities in the future. He also said that the purpose of this assisted village was to present students as facilitators in solving a problem in the village or as inspiration for innovation based on local wisdom and to motivate elementary school children in the village to continue their education as high as possible.
In line with what was conveyed by the Head of the Ormawa Development Unit, the Head of Abuan Village also expressed his gratitude for making Abuan Village a place to do community service, he also hopes that this collaboration in the future can become a source of solutions to problems that exist in Abuan Village . This event was then continued with the symbolic presentation of donations in the form of educational facilities for the children of Abuan State Elementary School by the Deputy Chairperson of the Udayana University Student Executive Board to the Head of Abuan Village, which was followed by the inauguration of the flight of a dove. The flight of the dove itself means the seriousness or consistency of the Udayana University Student Executive Board "Udayana Rise" Cabinet to be able to empower Abuan Village.
This was followed by activities around the village which were one of the highlights of the 2023 Udayana University BEM Assisted Village Opening event. During the village tour, the committee held meetings and discussions with parties who were representatives of the three main village indicators, namely agriculture, animal husbandry and education. This village tour activity was also attended by representatives of 13 faculties at Udayana University, with the hope that the faculties can find problems along with solutions and innovations to create more massive and equitable service.
