MoU Signing between Udayana University and Nanchang Normal University
(Nanchang, 02/03/2023) Delegation of Udayana University (Unud) under the leadership of the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, Prof.Dr.dr. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, M.Kes. fulfilled an invitation to visit Nanchang Normal University (NCNU) to sign the MoU and strengthen cooperation between Unud and NCNU.
In recent years, the two universities have established close exchanges, maintaining good friendly and cooperative relations, carrying out a series of exchanges and collaborations including cultural exchanges and language training, exchange of lecturers and students from NCNU to Indonesia holding online international academic conferences, research scientists who have made positive contributions to deepening the development of China-Indonesia relations.
The arrival of the Unud delegation was received directly by the Council Chairman, President, Vice Presidents, Deans, and other NCNU leadership. Council Chairman, Prof. Jin-Ping Wang welcomed and thanked the delegation for visiting to discuss how to strengthen cooperation between the two universities and promote the development of high-quality Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Unud. Prof. Jin-Ping Wang also thanks Unud for his strong guidance and support for the development of TCI. He hopes that TCI, an inclusive, open and mutually beneficial collaboration platform that integrates language learning, can be fully utilized by both universities.
"We will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation in cultural and educational exchanges, scientific research, academic exchanges, lecturer and student reciprocal visits, Chinese language training, student exchanges studying abroad and tourism cooperation, to benefit more students, helping them achieve their life dreams, enhancing the economic and social development of China and Indonesia, and contributing to cultural and educational exchanges, mutual learning between civilizations and friendly cooperation between China and Indonesia," said Prof. Jin-Ping Wang.
NCNU President, Prof. Yan-Guo Zhang in his speech said that Unud was the first university to cooperate with their university in Indonesia. Up to now, the two universities have been cooperating with each other for the past 7 years, during which both universities have carried out fruitful exchanges and cooperation in areas such as exchange visits, student exchanges, photography exhibitions, academic lectures and international conferences. He was grateful for Unud's attention, support and assistance for international cooperation and exchange between the two universities and also TCI.
"In the future, I hope the two universities can strengthen communication and carry out more exchanges and cooperation in the fields of double bachelor's degrees, joint master's training, arts and culture exchanges, language education, and the establishment of scientific research platforms, so as to increase the degree of internationalization of the two universities and promote the development of the two universities to a better level,” added Prof. Yan-Guo Zhang.
Meanwhile, the Rector's remarks in a video recording said that Unud and NCNU have a history of productive collaboration in the fields of education, culture and tourism as well as other activities in China and Indonesia. Over the years the two universities have had a great partnership and cooperation and he believes in the coming years more and more good things can be developed to accelerate academic, cultural and economic benefits for both universities and the nation.
"We express our deep appreciation for the commitment, support and collaboration with Nanchang Normal University and will continue to maximize each other's strengths and comparative advantages to complement each other's strategic work. I am sure that Unud and NCNU will deepen and enhance friendship, cross-cultural exchanges and cooperation for the sake of the academic community at the two universities and cooperation between the two countries," said the Rector of Unud.
Vice Rector Prof. Adiatmika opened his remarks by introducing the delegation from Udayana University who attended including the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Coordinator of the Office of International Affairs (KUI), Vice Dean of General Affairs and Finance of the Faculty of Tourism, lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism who is also the Assistant Director of TCI Unud and Spokesperson. Representing the Rector and all delegations, Prof. Adiatmika expressed his respect and gratitude for the invitation given and his deep appreciation to NCNU for its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Unud. Prof. Adiatmika hopes that this collaboration can be developed to accelerate and improve many aspects in the field of tourism, people's standard of living, digitization, databases through education, research and community service.
“I encourage Nanchang Normal University to explore more mutual cooperation between our universities. All planned activities can be achieved through good cooperation and communication and bring the two universities closer so that they can achieve the best for society, the university community and our country," added Prof. Adiatmika.
