Strengthen and Develop Collaboration, Udayana University and Nanchang University Extend the MoU

(Nanchang, 27/2) Nanchang University located in Jianxi Province, People's Republic of China (PRC) invited Udayana University to come directly to Nanchang University in order to strengthen and discuss plans to develop cooperation between Udayana University and Nanchang University in the future. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also on the agenda of the Udayana University Delegation at Nanchang University. Today's renewal of the MoU strengthens the strategic partnership between the two parties. Also present at the meeting were the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, the Coordinator of the Office of International Affairs, along with other Udayana University delegations. While present from the host, President and Vice President along with other Nanchang University leadership.

Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng, IPU in his remarks via video broadcast expressed his gratitude for the trust, support and collaboration between Nanchang University and Udayana University that have existed so far.

On this occasion the Rector Prof. Antara also informed about the history and achievements of Udayana University and the direction of its future development. He added that this collaboration is a part of Udayana University's internationalization efforts towards a World Class University, where the presence of the Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) as a form of implementation of this collaboration has had a considerable impact on the academic community of both universities and also the people of Bali.

Meanwhile, the President of Nanchang University, Prof. Ye-Guang Chen and his staff welcomed the arrival of the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information and other delegations.

He also introduced Nanchang University briefly. Nanchang University originates from Jiangxi Public Medical College, which was founded in 1921. Co-founded by the Ministry of Education of China and Jiangxi Province, Nanchang University is the "Overall High Level University Development Project" in Jiangxi Province.

The Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) at Udayana University is the fourth Confucius Institute established by NCU abroad. As the only Confucius Institute featured in tourism in Indonesia, TCI is an important base for Chinese language education and cultural exchange in Bali. TCI Udayana University provides professional Mandarin language training and job education for the tourism industry in Bali. Especially during the 2022 Bali G20 Summit, TCI teachers and students participated in many important activities of the Summit, and received wide attention and news coverage from both domestic and foreign mainstream media.

In recent years, the two universities formed a deep friendship and achieved fruitful results, through a number of substantive collaborations, such as student exchange programs and academic exchange programs. "We have made great contributions to educational and cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia." With the extension of the cooperation, Udayana University and Nanchang University are ready to start a new round of in-depth and comprehensive strategic cooperation, innovate talent training models and promote higher education reform and development.
