The LAM-PTKes Assessor Team Accredited the ENT-KL Health Science Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

The ENT-KL Health Science Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) was visited by the Assessment Team of the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes), Thursday (10/11/2022), located in Room AA. Djelantik, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Sudirman campus, Denpasar.

The event was opened by the Rector of Udayan University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng., IPU, and also attended by the Director of Operational and General Planning of RSUP Prof. dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, Director of the Network Hospital, Chair of LP3M Unud, USDI Representative, Head of the Library of Udayana University, Vice Deans of FK Unud , Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Unit Coordinators, and the entire Accreditation Task Force Team for ENT-KL Health Sciences Specialist Study Programs.

Starting the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Unud, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes said that the ENT-KL study program in carrying out its duties has produced graduates who are currently devoting their knowledge to the community, not only on the island of Bali, but also outside Bali. In addition, many non-academic achievements have also been achieved both from lecturers and students from this ENT-KL study program. Here the quality assurance system plays a very strategic role to ensure the quality of education carried out by the study program. Institutionally, we already have a tiered internal quality assurance system from the university, faculty and study program levels, but the internal quality assurance system is not complete, if it is not followed by an external quality assurance system. The arrival of the Assessor Team from LAM-PTKes for the next three days to see firsthand whether the report submitted is in accordance with the reality on the ground. It is hoped that the study program can work well and prepare all the data needed by the Assessor Team, so that later it will get maximum results from the accreditation.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayan University, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara on the occasion expressed his hope that the arrival of the assessor team to Unud could provide something to develop Unud even better in the future. Udayana University is now entering its 60th year, has three campus locations including the Sudirman campus, Nias Island campus and Bukit Jimbaran campus and has 119 study programs of which 70% have received superior or A accreditation and 30% are still accredited B. For the future Study programs that are still accredited B will be pushed to excel and superior study programs will be pushed to International accreditation.

In addition, the university profile includes the number of faculties, the number of students, lecturers, and staff at Unud. In the future, Unud is expected to become a state university with a legal entity, which is currently still in the process and next year according to government regulations, it is expected to become a PTN-BH.

The Rector conveyed that the role of the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University is very important, so that whatever the steps of the study program at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University is ready to support and oversee and work together to achieve the goal. The Faculty of Medicine has 33 Study Programs, currently the number of excellent accreditations in FK is 14 study programs, but at the university level there are 28 study programs that are accredited with excellence. "We hope that the ENT-KL Health Science Study Program will become a study program that gets the 15th superior score at the Faculty of Medicine," he said.
