The Form of Cooperation in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Tourism Confucius Institute, Faculty of Tourism Udayana University Holds International Seminar

Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Faculty of Tourism Udayana University held an international seminar as a follow-up to the collaboration between Nanchang University-China and Nanchang Normal University-China, Wednesday (26/10/2022). This international seminar presented speakers, namely, Prof. Liang Yi Kui, Dr. Zeng Xian Le, Yayu Indrawati, SS., M. Par., Ph.D. and Dr. Drs. I Made Sendra, M.Si.

"Opportunities, Challenges, and Recovery of the Tourism Market Under the New Normal Covid-19 Situation" was appointed as the theme of the seminar which took place in a hybrid manner, offline taking place in the Nusantara Room, Agrocomplex Building, Udayana University, Bali and at Chuangxin Nanchang Normal University Building, Nanchang , China and online via the Zoom Meeting application. This event was attended by more than 360 participants from students from Udayana University, Nanchang University, Nanchang Normal University, and academics from various other institutions.

Dr. Drs. I Made Sendra, M.Si as Director of the Indonesia Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University explained that this international seminar discussed the prospects of the tourism market in the new normal situation of COVID-19, especially how to restore the Chinese tourism market. Organizing the G-20 big event to be held in Bali, we hope that the Chinese government can open their borders, so that later Chinese tourists will return to visit Indonesia, especially visits to Bali can return to normal. "We know that since 2017 the Chinese market has dominated tourist visits to Indonesia, especially to Bali," explained Made Sendra.

Prof. Lian Yi Kui as the first speaker in this seminar brought the material "The Unique Scenery of Jiangxi" which generally discussed the description of the Jiangxi region and the beautiful scenery of Jiangxi as a tourism attraction. Yayu Indrawati, S.S., M. Par., Ph.D. as the second speaker presented a material entitled "Recovery of the Tourism Market Under the New Normal Situation: Opportunities and Challenges" which generally discussed the general picture of Indonesia's policies in tourism, the strength of the tourism sector, the profile of tourists in Indonesia during a pandemic, opportunities, challenges, and tourism strategies in the new normal era.

So are trends in the post-pandemic tourism sector, including recreational travel, mobile bookings, personalization, sustainable tourism, wellness experiences, and staycations. Drs. I Made Sendra, M. Si. as the third speaker, he presented a material entitled "Diplomacy Tourism Based on Cultural Diplomatic Relationship Between China and Indonesia (Bali)" which generally discussed the pull and push factors for the arrival of Chinese tourists to Bali as well as mass-tourism conditions that occurred in Bali and the opportunity to conduct quality tourism. tourism. The last speaker was Dr. Zeng Xian Li who brought material on "Introduction of China's Cultural Tourism Industry" which generally discussed Chinese culture in the tourism industry. The seminar ended with the awarding of certificates of appreciation to the speakers and the distribution of door prizes to the participants who actively asked questions.
