100 Presenters Participate in the Success of the Seminar in Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary and the Anniversary of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Unud

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University (FTP Unud) held a National Seminar on "Agricultural Technology Innovation in Realizing Sustainable National Food Independence in the Era of Society 5.0", located in the Postgraduate Building Hall, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Friday (14/10/2022). This seminar was held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Udayana University and the 38th anniversary of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the 28th FTP Family Board. This seminar was also coupled with an Innovation Product Exhibition which took place in the Green Open Space (RTH), Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.

Dr. Luh Putu Wrasiati as the Chair of the Committee said that at this seminar there were 100 speakers who were oral presentation and poster presenters who were accepted from various universities in Indonesia consisting of Andalas University, Lampung University, Palangkaraya University, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Djuanda University, Instiper Yogyakarta, Gadjah Mada University, Satya Wacana Christian University, Brawijaya University were the largest number, in addition to speakers from Widya Mandala Catholic University, Jember University, Trunojoyo University, International Bali University, Mataram University and Wira Wacana Christian University Sumba. These 100 speakers consisted of 62 lecturers and 38 student speakers and were supported by 148 seminar participants from lecturers and students.

At the innovation exhibition, we are supported by 24 exhibition stands from students, namely the winners of the student entrepreneurship development program grants and independent students learning independent entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial student program at Udayana University, lecturer products from research and innovation grants, pre-start up and start-up innovations as well as UKM and MSMEs fostered by Udayana University. The seminar was supported by the Bali Provincial Government, PT Urban Company, the Indonesian Agricultural Industry PS Communication Forum, Denpasar Children Center and Denpasar Autocare Center, PT IKA Laboratories and several other parties.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FTP Unud Prof. I Made Anom Sutrisna Wijaya said that this seminar was the first to be held after the pandemic and was also a seminar that would be held every two years as well as international seminars. This year a national seminar will be held, and next year an international seminar will be held and it will be conducted alternately. Of course, it is hoped that through this seminar there will be an exchange of information both in Indonesia and at the international level. Partners from Japan, Korea, China, Austria, USA and Australia are partners who are invited to collaborate to organize the seminar, and the most intense one is from Malaysia, namely UTM.

Rector of Unud Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara at the opening of this seminar said that the Faculty of Agricultural Technology is very important for the development of Unud in general because quite a lot of the academic community from this faculty have contributed to the development of Unud. However, there is still much to be done for the future development of FTP. His party has planned to gradually build the Dean for the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Lab at Jimbaran Campus which is expected to start next year. It is hoped that all lectures at FTP can be focused on the Jimbaran Campus and become a target to become one of the modern faculties. To support this, many things must be done by the FTP Unud community. The Rector appreciated the things that had been done by FTP Unud, one of which was the implementation of this seminar.

This seminar presented several keynote speakers, namely the Vice Governor of Bali, Prof. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati, Prof. Hadikaria Purwadaria from the Rising Incubator Association, Prof. Christofora Hanny Wijaya from IPB, Prof. Gede Bayu Suparta from UGM, Dr. M. Fuad F. Mu'tamar from Trunojoyo University and resource persons from PT Nutrifood Indonesia and PT Coca Cola Company.
