Udayana University Arts UKM Holds 2022 National Cultural Festival Activities
Udayana University Arts UKM held the 2022 National Cultural Festival which was held online through the Cisco Webex Meeting at the Faculty of Social Science and Political Science Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Sunday (25/9/2022). This activity was opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Udayana University, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana.
The National Cultural Festival is a work program organized by the Udayana University Arts UKM with a series of national-scale competitions aimed at increasing and developing the creativity of young Indonesian artists in an effort to preserve culture and as a forum for young artists to be creative as well as a medium for introducing Udayana University Arts UKM.
Taking the theme "Abhinaya Cilpacastra ing Anagata", which has the meaning "Awaken the Spirit of Art and Culture in the Future", where this activity was attended by 44 participants from 14 universities, namely Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, Univ Islam Indonesia, UNSRI, Univ. Mulawarman, UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, PNB, Undhiksa, Univ. 17 August, Poltekkes Ministry of Health Bandung, Univ. Warmadewa, UNHI, UNS, Univ. Yogyakarta State and Univ. Udayana. The general participants came from SMAN 1 Kuta Selatan, SMAN 1 Kuta Utara, SMA Catholic Wr. Supratman Samarinda and SMPN 6 Denpasar. Participants came from 7 different provinces and islands. Several competitions were held, namely: Vocal Solo Pop, Vocal Solo Dangdut, and Line Dance Sport.
In his speech, the Vice Rector III said that the National Cultural Festival was a prestigious event organized by Unud through the Arts UKM, with the hope that it would win many medals and be able to improve Udayana students' achievements in the arts.
The achievements of Udayana students in this event were the Gold Medal on behalf of Margarick Yoga Adinata Putra (FH Unud) and the Bronze Medal on behalf of Ade Utri Natalia (FT Unud) in the Line Dance Sport competition. For the first time the Dance Sport Competition Branch was competed at Udayana University in the National Cultural Festival and with many interested participants, a special National and International Dance Sport Championship will be made to attract outstanding dance athletes who are able to present gold medals to Udayana University.
