Udayana University and Timor University Establish Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education Tridharma

Jimbaran - The Rector of Udayana University (Unud) and the Rector of the University of Timor (Unimor) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the framework of cooperation with educational institutions in the field of Higher Education Tridharma. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was held in the Nusa Room, Bukit Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Tuesday (9/8/2022).

The activity was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information Planning, Dean of Faculty of Social Science and Political Science, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Also present were the Rector of the University of Timor and his staff.

Rector of the University of Timor, Dr. Ir. Stefanus Sio, M.P thanked Udayana University for this collaboration. The University of Timor was previously a private university. Since 2014, the University of Timor has turned into a state university with the status of PTN Satker. He hopes to get support through collaboration with various state universities, public service agencies or legal entities such as Udayana University to get assistance and inputs in order to improve the university in the future. With the limitations it still has, Unimor is in dire need of assistance in matters related to Tridharma and human resource development.

"In the future, with this MoU, it is hoped that it can help Unimor to improve our knowledge, competence, and human resource development," hoped the Rector of the University of Timor.

Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara welcomed this collaboration and through this opportunity gave a brief information about Unud which will go to PTN BH. Furthermore, the Rector said that his party was ready to cooperate in the field of the Tridharma of Higher Education, such as student exchange for the MBKM program, collaboration in research and community service, as well as increasing the competence of human resources at the University of Timor.

Many things need to be done to overcome things in order to develop even better. His party also recently received a visit from the Rector of Hasanuddin University in order to strengthen the cooperation network of higher education consortiums in Eastern Indonesia, both among universities and with partners from abroad. So that they can grow and advance together and complement each other's shortcomings to be able to move forward and develop even better. Especially with Eastern Indonesia, Unud also has a lot of cooperation in addition to universities as well as with local governments, one of which is in terms of assistance for medical personnel in serving the community in their respective areas.

"By collaborating between universities in Eastern Indonesia, it will have an impact because of the togetherness. We complement each other, help each other, hopefully we will move forward together," explained the Rector of Unud.
