Udayana University Receives a Visit from the Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste

The Rector of Udayana University, who in this case was represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Team received a visit from a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste chaired by the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF) at the Rectorate Building, Thursday (16/06/2022).

This visit is in the context of discussing technical cooperation carried out by both parties whose Memorandum of Understanding was signed in November 2019 and ends in 2024. In the framework of this cooperation, technical cooperation has been carried out with the Faculty of Agriculture through capacity building activities for the Ministry of Agriculture and Human Resources. Timor Leste's fisheries through training/skills transfer related to agricultural development.

During this visit, discussions were also held with the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for the implementation of further cooperation which will be discussed in more detail the points of cooperation that will be carried out by the Parties, especially in the area of ​​plant protection as requested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Timor Leste.
