Swiss Ambassador to Indonesia Visits Udayana University
The Rector of Udayana University accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information, KUI Coordinator, and a Spokesperson for Udayana University received a visit from the Swiss Ambassador to Indonesia Kurt Kunz at the Jimbaran Campus Rectorate Building, Monday (23/05/2022).
Swiss Ambassador to Indonesia Kurt Kunz on this occasion said that the relationship between Indonesia and Switzerland had been going on since 1952, starting with the Swiss diplomatic mission in Jakarta in 1952 and relations and cooperation between Indonesia and Switzerland have been increasing since then. For decades, Switzerland has worked closely with Indonesian partners in developing vocational education and sustainable tourism, responding to natural disasters, and supporting SMEs, among others. Bali is also one of the most attractive provinces for many Swiss visitors.
The visit with Udayana University was also to find out more about the curriculum at Udayana University, especially in the field of tourism. It was also stated that there is a possibility of collaboration between Udayana University and universities in Switzerland, in terms of student exchanges, training for vocational students, and Post-Doctoral Programs.
While the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara welcomed Switzerland's visit to Indonesia to Udayana University. Through this visit, the Rector hopes to initiate collaboration with universities in Switzerland. Previously, Udayana University had established three collaborations with institutions in Switzerland.
