Commemorating Kartini Day, Dharma Wanita Udayana University Association Holds Cooking Competition
Jimbaran - In commemoration of Kartini Day, Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Udayana University held a Fried Rice Cooking Competition which was attended by Leaders at Udayana University, Thursday (21/4/2022). The competition was held in the Nusantara Cuisine area of Udayana Restaurant 1 Jimbaran Campus and was attended by 14 participants namely the Rector, Chair of the Senate, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties, Head of Institutions and Director of Udayana University Hospital.
Prior to the competition, the DWP Udayana University also held regular meetings which were coupled with the handover of positions for the Head Office Sub-Unit, namely the Student Affairs Bureau, which was previously held by Mrs. Dewa Ayu Sri Utari, now held by Mrs. Meni Kartika in the Language Room of the Rectorate Building.
Head of DWP Udayana University, Mrs. Dayu Bulan Antara conveyed the handover ceremony for this position in connection with the change of leadership at the Student Affairs Bureau. His party hopes that Ms. DWP, who has retired from duty, will continue to maintain communication and friendship with DWP Unud and give appreciation for her participation while joining DWP Udayana University. To the new ones, the Chairperson of the Udayana University DWP congratulates you on joining and hopes that you will actively participate in every activity carried out which has become the Udayana University DWP program. Besides that, he is also active in accompanying husbands at various formal events. Mrs. Meni Kartika will fill one of the fields, namely socio-cultural, where there are three fields namely education, economics and socio-cultural which are chaired by the Vice Rectors.
Regarding the competition, Mrs. Dayu Bulan Antara said that considering that routine meetings are held in conjunction with Kartini Day, the idea arose to hold a cooking competition for the Leaders, and the Rector responded well, who immediately registered, which was followed by other leaders. This cooking competition is divided into 7 sessions, each followed by two participants. The pairs for each session were the Rector of Udayana University with the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, the Director of the Udayana University Hospital with the Dean of the Faculty of Law, the Vice Rector I with the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, the Chair of LP3M with the Dean of FKP, the Dean of FKH with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Chair of the Udayana University Senate with the Chair of the LPPM and Vice Rector IV with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. The chairman of DWP appreciated the leaders for their participation in the competition. As for this competition, the time allotted is 10 minutes for each participant from the preparation process to the presentation and there are three judges, namely Dr. Luh Putu Wrasiati, Dr. Komang Ayu Nocianitri and Yolanda Valentina Gigir. While there are four assessment criteria, namely cleanliness, time, beauty of presentation and taste. The taste will be judged once the food is finished cooking. He hopes that next year a similar activity can be held with more and more lively participants.
While the Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara expressed his appreciation to the DWP Udayana University who had provided an opportunity for leaders to test their cooking skills and wished them Happy Kartini Day, and hoped that in the future similar competitions would be better implemented.
From the results of the evaluation of the Jury of the Fried Rice Cooking Competition, the First Place was won by the Chair of the Senate of Udayana University, Prof. I Gede Mahardika, the second winner was won by the Rector of Udayana University Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara, and the Third Place was won by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering I Ketut Sudarsana, Ph.D. Trophies and prizes for the winners were handed over directly by the Chairperson of the Udayana University DWP.
