DENPASAR - Udayana University (Unud) Holds Senate Open Session in commemoration of the 59th Anniversary, Wednesday (29/9/2021). "Strengthening Innovation and Competitiveness with the Spirit of Mutual Cooperation in the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic for A Rising Indonesia" is the theme of this year's Dies Natalis.
Various congratulations via video recordings were received in this year's Anniversary celebration, including from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, who also said "Happy Anniversary "Continue to contribute to the progress of Indonesia". Rector of Unud, Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara, in his report said, this year's Dies Natalis theme reflects that the Unud academic community is united in facing the Covid-19 pandemic by playing an active role in the rise of Indonesia from the impact of the pandemic, by displaying the advantages of innovative works so that they can compete in the national and international arenas. international. Strengthening Unud research innovation with the spirit to realize Unud as a national innovation center, so that Unud researchers are able to develop and expand science and technology so that there is a synchronization between science and technology developments and problems faced by industry as well as the real needs of society and the state.
The age of 59 years is a mature age for Udayaba University. This should make all academics aware that in the future the campus must continue to move and carve out many works and achievements as it grows older. Governor of Bali Wayan Koster in his speech congratulated Unud on the 59th Anniversary of Unud and hoped that Unud, which is the oldest and largest university in Bali, will become an institution that is responsive to science and technology developments, flexible in responding to changing times and aggressive in developing new breakthroughs. At the peak of this year's Anniversary, a Scientific Oration was delivered by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Prof. Mahfud MD and the presentation of the Udayana Award to Prof. Dr. dr. Ketut Suastika, Sp.PD-KEMD (former Rector of Udayana University) and Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Mahardika, MS (Faculty of Animal Husbandry). The Udayana Award was given for their contribution to the progress of Unud. The peak of the anniversary celebration ended with a family event.
