FISIP Unud Public Administration Student Association Holds National Seminar on Public Administration in 2021

The Public Administration student association of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University, will hold a National Seminar on Public Administration in 2021 with the theme "Implementation of the Digitalization System in Optimizing Public Services during the Covid-19 Pandemic" which held online through the Cisco Webex video conference application, Saturday (4/9/2021).

The seminar was opened by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Antara, M.Eng. IPU by presenting several speakers, namely 1) Rini Widyantini, S.H., MPM from the PAN-RB Ministry, 2). Widhi Novianto, S.Sos., M.Sc. from the Indonesian State Administration Institute (LAN) and 3) Dr. techn. Wikan Danar Sunindyo, S.T, M.Sc. from STEI (Bandung Institute of Technology) ITB, guided by Moderator Ni Putu Bayu Widhi Antari, S.I.A., MPA.

The chairman of the committee I Kadek Andre Dwika Permana Putra in his report said that the 2021 National Public Administration Seminar is an annual work program for the Public Administration student association of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Udayana University. This seminar was attended by thousands of participants from various institutions in Indonesia. Through the implementation of this seminar, it is expected to increase participants knowledge about digital systems in public services. This seminar also held a Call for paper activity with the chosen theme, namely Innovation in Public Services, Smart City in Governance and ASN Performance. There are approximately 16 papers participating in the Call for paper from various State Universities in Indonesia.

Vice Dean I of FISIP Dr. Drs. I Nengah Punia, M.Si expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Public Administration student association who had taken the initiative to hold a National seminar by presenting competent speakers in their fields. The theme of this seminar needs to be socialized to the State Civil Apparatus or organizations that provide services to the community. In this era of technology 4.0, technology has a very important role in various aspects of community life, nation and state, including in the world of education. With the existence of Covid 19, technology 4.0 has accelerated the development process. This seminar program is also an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely how we can continue to serve the community well or do community service.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gede Antara, M.Eng. IPU in his speech said that the use of digital systems is of course very common in social life, one of which is in the field of public services. Government bureaucracy and the function of bureaucrats is one thing that certainly has a fairly strong contribution and influence in this field. The urge for the sake of urging continues to exist which requires the government and the community to work hand in hand to create innovations and creations in terms of public services to maintain the bureaucratic and administrative system that takes place in a government.

The Rector hopes that all participants can enliven this activity and to keep trying to contribute to each other to create various public services in accordance with the flow of the industrial revolution 4.0. "With this seminar, we have high hopes as an educational institution to be able to provide a comprehensive understanding to the community and especially the educational community so that they know more about the application of the digitalization system in public services," said the Rector of Unud.
