Udayana University Receives The Bali Covid-19 Thematic Real Work Lecture Program (KKNT) Award Again from the Head of BNPB
Denpasar - Udayana University received a Certificate from the Head of the National Disaster Management Agency for participation as a university in the Bali COVID-19 Real Work Lecture (KKN) which was held during June-August 2021 in Bali Province. The certificate was handed over directly by the Head of BNPB, Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito, SE., MM and received by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng at the Coordination Meeting for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 and the Launching of the Mask Car Movement at the Bali Governor's Office, Thursday (19/8). The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Bali, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum at the provincial, district and city levels, representatives of Balinese universities, as well as students participating in the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) both virtual and face-to-face.
Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. TNI Ganip Warsito, S.E., M.M. conveyed the pentahelix collaboration, particularly the role of universities, as an accelerator of restoring people's lives with the spirit of 'Bali Rising' and 'Bali Returning.' Since the beginning of the pandemic last year, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) invited the university community to play an active role in handling Covid -19 in the Province of Bali.
This collaboration with universities cannot be separated from the full support of relevant ministries and institutions in pilot programs to accelerate the handling of Covid-19, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
This concrete support is manifested by the implementation of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) program which involves thousands of students in Bali, and disaster research programs resulting from the selection process from various universities throughout Indonesia. The head of BNPB appreciated the community of universities who participated in handling Covid-19, both in the form of disaster research and the participation of students in the KKNT program who went directly to the community.
Previously, Udayana University Covid-19 Thematic KKN students were involved in two major activities of KKNT Bali Rising Bali Back, namely the health sector through the Covid-19 tracking campus program (tracing) and the Food Security and Nutrition sector through the implementation of food security innovation programs with balanced nutrition through the Food Yard. Lestari (P2L). The thematic KKN Covid-19 Unud will end on August 23, 2021.
