Unud Launches Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030
Udayana University held the online launch of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Webex application, Thursday (01/07/2021). This activity was attended by the Rector, Chair of the Senate, Vice Rectors, Deans, Postgraduate Director, Heads of Bureaus, Head of Institutions, Heads of Center (LPPM), and Head of Media Unud.
The launch of the Udayana SDGs 2030 policy is a pro-SDGs Udayana policy declaration that will structure the entire performance of Udayana University equipped with support for institutional strengthening, curriculum and learning, research, and community service with the support of 17 SDGs components.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, SH., M.Hum in his report said that actually since the SDGs were launched, Udayana University has carried out various program actions that are correlated with the SDGs through the tri dharma of higher education starting from developing institutional elements relevant to SDGs action, curriculum and learning materials in all faculties, university policies regarding the allocation of a minimum of 30% green open space at Udayana University, community service activities that are all directly collaborative to efforts to achieve sustainable development goals
Udayana University needs to develop a policy on SDGs action roadmap Udayana University 2030 which structures all existing SDGs performance Udayana University is equipped with support for SDGs action plans through institutional strengthening of SDGs, curriculum and learning, research, and community service accompanied by support for SDGs action covering all 17 components SDGs.
Rector of Udayana University Prof. A A. Raka Sudewi in his speech said that Udayana University had prepared itself as a Pro SDGs University. All components of the SDGs have been absorbed in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and are described through the curriculum, learning process, research themes, and community service.
Udayana University already has various centers and laboratories that are pro SDGs, such as the Frank Williams Bird Sculpture Museum which provides education and various actions related to bird ecosystem maintenance, environmental research center, water center/subak, bamboo center, clean energy development center, maintenance center and improvement of public health (OHCC), SDGs Center, Waste Bank, RSPTN, RSH, TCI, and others.
