JUPI Unud Holds Seminar and Workshop "Unud Journal with National Competitiveness and Global Reputation"

Journal and Scientific Publication Unit (JUPI) Udayana University held online seminars and workshops through the Cisco Webex application, Tuesday (22/06/2021). This seminar and workshop took the theme "Unud Journal with National Competitiveness and Global Reputation" which was held for two days, 22 and 23 June 2021.

There were three speakers, namely (1) Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng. as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Udayana University, (2) Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng. as Plt. Director of Research and Community Service Director of Intellectual Property Management of the National Research Agency, (3) Dr. Muji Setiyo, S.T., M.T., as Chair of the LPPM Muhammadiyah University of Magelang, Chief Editor of Automotive Experiences (AE) (H-Index Scopus: 6).

Rector of Unud Prof. A A. Raka Sudewi in his speech said that universities have a main task, one of which is in the field of science development. In accommodating the cycle of scientific development in universities, reputable journals are needed so that the knowledge that has been produced through research by lecturers can be published and read by students or lecturers, or even other scientific communities to be used as references in the development of further science.

The existence of scientific journals in Indonesia is strongly supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology by carrying out various regulations and innovations in coaching programs that support an increase in the number of nationally accredited and internationally reputable journals. Udayana University certainly strongly supports the journal development policy carried out by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology through the Journal and Scientific Publication Unit of Udayana University by carrying out activities that support the development of journals within Udayana University so that they can all be nationally accredited and international reputation.

The material presented by each resource person, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng with the material "Journal Development at Udayana University", Prof. Dr. Heri Hermansyah, S.T., M.Eng. with the material "Intellectual Property Management to Support Improving the Quality of Indonesian Scientific Journals". While the third speaker, Dr. Muji Setiyo, S.T., M.T. delivered the material "Journal Journey at the University of Muhammadiyah Magelang".
