Unud Receives a Visit from the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia
Rector of Unud Prof. A.A Raka Sudewi accompanied by the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information received a visit by the Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Fadel Muhammad at the Rectorate Building, Jimbaran Campus, Monday (31/5/2021).
The visit of the Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI was related to the agenda of preparing the Principles of State Policy. In the past, there have been pros and cons to this matter, but there have been many suggestions that there is an unsynchronized development between the Central and the Regions, so it is deemed necessary to make a state direction. The main point of this State Policy is that the country has a clear direction of development so that the budget is utilized properly.
On this occasion, a non-final framework was prepared by the study group to obtain input from community groups and academics, one of which was from Udayana University. In 2021 the MPR RI will seek input from academics and community leaders and it is hoped that in 2022 an Ad hoc Committee can be formed.
The Rector of Udayana University expressed his appreciation for the visit of the Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI and would follow up on the results of this meeting by forming a team to conduct studies on the Principles of State Policy.
