KUI Unud Holds Outreach for the International Credit Transfer Program and IISMA 2021
The Office of International Affairs (KUI) of Udayana University held a "Socialization of the 2021 International Credit Transfer Program (ICT) and the 2021 Indonesian International Mobility Awards (IISMA) Program" which took place online through the Cisco Webex application, Thursday (6/5/2021). The event was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Udayana University with the coordinator of KUI and guided by the moderator Dr. Tri Anggraini Prajnawrdhi, St., MT., MURP (Lecturer at FT Unud).
Kemendikbud-Ristek provides the opportunity to take part in the International Credit Transfer program for 10 undergraduate and postgraduate students to study for one semester through online learning and the 2021 Indonesian International Mobility Awards (IISMA) scholarship program. By joining the program, it is hoped that students can learn and hone skills in partner universities abroad. These two programs are implemented in the context of implementing the Free Learning-Free Campus Program (MBKM).
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. I Nyoman Gde Antara in his speech said that this activity was very large, meaning that it was related to the steps that had to be taken both at the level of the Dean and the Study Program related to activities supporting the independent learning program from the Ministry. In this socialization program will be conveyed which of course require coordination support from the head of the work unit to carry out two programs related to student exchanges to universities abroad. The Vice Rector hopes that students who meet the requirements can join this program. Later, if the university succeeds in sending students through this program, then we will be listed as a university that organizes a government program, namely the independent learning campus where students study outside the campus.
We have a short time to socialize this program, so the head of the work unit must immediately make a list of participants who meet the requirements and immediately send it to KUI. Cooperation of work unit leaders is highly expected in order to achieve the sending of Udayana University students to take part in the MBKM program at overseas universities.
Meanwhile, the KUI Coordinator, Dr. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki conveyed that previously there had been socialization at the national level where the KUI of Udayana University was the host for the Eastern Indonesia region, but due to the lack of participants from Udayana University, socialization was carried out at the university level. In the material Dr. Ni Nyoman Pujianiki explained the background, understanding and objectives, program schedule, requirements, financing of the International Credit Transfer Program and the IISMA Program. The International Credit Transfer Program can be followed by undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students while the IISMA program is only devoted to undergraduate programs. Registration for the IISMA MBKM platform program starts on May 10-22, 2021 where the Ministry is targeting 1000 students from all over Indonesia to take part in the program.
In the discussion session, students discussed the obstacles that might be faced by students related to this program, one of which is the requirements for English language skills.
