IndonesiaUnud Extends Collaboration with West Sumbawa District Government
Chancellor of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp., S (K) signed MoU with West Sumbawa Regent, Dr. Ir. H W Musyafirin MM at Rectorate Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus, Thursday (05/09/2019). This is an extension of the collaboration between Udayana University and West Sumbawa District Government which has entered its fourth year. This collaboration was also followed up with the signing of a collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine and West Sumbawa Syifa Regional General Hospital.
The collaboration is healding in the field of human resource development and improving the quality of health at West Sumbawa Syifa Regional General Hospital. Chancellor of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. A A. Raka Sudewi, Sp., S (K) said previously the cooperation was in resident delivery in the fields of obgyn, surgery, eyes and internal medicine. This provides an important meaning for both parties, especially for Udayana University which can contribute to assisting West Sumbawa Asy-Syifa Hospital to provide health services to the community. "According to the Regent, this collaboration has been able to increase the human development index in West Sumbawa Regency area. Of course we are very proud, "said Prof. Raka Sudewi.
The collaboration established by Udayana University in health sector is held with various other districts, such as NTB and NTT. This is a manifestation of Udayana University responsibility in the field of service by improving health services in eastern Indonesia.
Deputy Dean of Academic and Planning Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. I Dewa Made Sukrama, M.Sc., Sp.MK (K), said that in the future the Faculty of Medicine will increase the number of specialist doctors to contribute and advancing health services in West Sumbawa. "If possible, in the future, we will also conduct researches, so that we can increase cooperation in the field of Tri Dharma university," he explained. (dsk, ad)
