Scientific Writing Competition of Marine and Fisheries Faculty, Udayana University
In a series of the 5th anniversary, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries held a Scientific Writing Competition for the level of Senior High School / Vocational School in Bali. This competition took place at the third floor of the library in Meeting Hall, the campus of Marine and Fisheries Faculty, Bukit Jimbaran, Bali, on Saturday, October 15. In this competition, the participants competed for the trophy of Rector of Udayana University. This competition carried the theme “Potential Development of Marine and Fisheries Sector as a Maritime Country”.
Among 30 participants registered, the number of participants who collect the scientific writing were 28 participants. The processes of assessment and selection were conducted by the juries who are competent in their field. Then, it was obtained 10 qualified participants to present their work. After doing the assessment during the presentation, there were 3 winners in this competition. The first winner was SMA N 1 Kuta Selatan with the scientific writing entitled “Pengaruh Masa Mulsa Organik Cangkang H.Pulcherimus Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Singkong Pada Lahan Kering Desa Kutuh”. The second place was also won by the team of SMA N 1 Kuta Selatan with the scientific writing entitled “Pengaruh Perbandingan Kadar Zat Kitin pada Sisik Ikan Air Laut Sebagai Pupuk Organik Cair Terhadap Pertumbuhan Fase Vegetatif Tanaman Cabai Rawit”. And then, the third place was won by the team of SMA N 1 Blahbatuh with the scientific writing entitled “Pemanfaatan Limbah Tulang Ikan Sebagai Bahan Panganan Nugget yang Bergizi dan disukai konsumen”.
In this occasion, the Chairperson of the Student Executive Board of Marine and Fisheries Faculty said that the purpose of this Scientific Writing Competition is to introduce the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University among the students of Senior High School / Vocational School in Bali, and it also becomes a medium for the talents of writing owned by the students of Senior High School / Vocational School in Bali. This event was opened by Vice Rector III of Udayana University. (naristadevi)
